Cotton gins in Missouri which operate on an intermediate air permit are required to have Opacity Training/Certification by an EPA approved smoke school instructor. Gins which renewed their permits in the last few years are required to have at least one person with this certification.
We have set up a Smoke School to be conducted by Aeromet Engineering, Inc:
Wednesday, August 7, 2019
Fisher Delta Research Center
147 State Hwy T Portageville, MO 63873
Cost: $220 per person
Smoke School Certification is valid for 6 months.
Please let us know who will attend from your gin. The training fee of $220 per person will be due by August 5, 2019. Make checks payable to Southern Cotton Ginners Association. Please make sure you have someone present at the training.
